Latest Operating systems for windows smart phones Mango

Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS already in the hunt now the MIcrosoft enter the “SMART PHONE OS ARENA” with it latest operating system named as “MANGO” With the help of Mango, the Windows Phone has grown up into a device that can be considered a real competitor for Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android devices.Microsoft announced  the next version of the Windows Phone operating system, code-named Mango, has been delivered to manufacturers, which can begin testing it on their handsets.Achim Berg, the corporate vice president of Windows Phone marketing, told the Guardian that Windows Phone’s profile will only take off once Nokia begins featuring it on its handsets. But he insisted that the much larger geographical distribution that will follow then, with carriers in Russia, India and Latin America beginning to sell the devices, will have a significant impact on its sales.”It gives people a level of confidence in what we’re doing,” he said. “This becomes a story now. It was hard to begin with, but we’re going to have high-end phones and we will also be price-aggressive with other ranges.”,” Terry Myerson, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of engineering for Windows phone, wrote on a company blog. “Here on the Windows Phone team, we now turn to preparing for the update process ” .Mango OS contain basic feature such as Multitasking ,Consolidate Multi-channel Information,Local Scout,Contact Group,Integrated Inbox,Personal Information Card,More Powerful Bing Search Function,Smarter Tiles,App Connect.Mango, Windows Phone OS 7.5 7.1, includes a number of new features, including an HTML5 version of Internet Explorer 9 for mobiles; deep Twitter integration; support for private and beta apps; new Bing features.Mango update also allows for security polices, which can be set in place for Exchange emails and attachments. Windows Marketplace currently offers only 18,000 apps for downloading to the device, compared with the 200,000 plus apps from Google’s Android Market and 425,000 plus from Apple’s App Store.Mango raises the ante in mobile multitasking by enabling users to listen to music, send email and play online games without shuttling between applications.Photos captured on the Mango phone can be edited right on the device with a tap on Auto-fix. Microsoft isn’t announcing pricing for this or other Mango-specific hardware designs yet, current Windows Phone models range in price from $50 to $150 (with contracts) and will all be capable of running this updated software.Microsoft’s Windows mobile operating system will account for 5.6% of the smartphone market at the end of 2011 but will rise to 10.8% in 2012, according to Gartner. The OS will also feature new languages including Chinese, Brazilian, Finnish, Czech, Hungarian, Finnish, Japanese and Swedish.

One thing that does worry me though is the fact that MS seems to be thinking over and over about “features, features, features…”. New features aren’t a terrible thing, as long as they don’t really screw up the existing features and performance. As these new features come out, if my existing performance and features suffer, or it gets in the way I do my work, then I’ll be disappointed. That’s how I felt about the Windows OS when it kept adding features and My favorite feature of Mango so far is the Voice to Text functionality.  Microsoft is greatly leveraging their speach recognition technology that is probably shared with Sync and Xbox Kinect. Besides, it will also have voice-to-text and text-to-voice support and a deeper focus on integrating the contacts and picture tagging of the social networking platforms and the other best feature which i like it is  Mango’s linked inboxes  which let people group multiple email inboxes together, like linking Gmail and Hotmail for all of their personal emails.
